About the Role
1. Operational Excellence:
Oversee and manage day-to-day warehouse operations, including staffing, workflow, and performance metrics (KPIs), to ensure efficiency and productivity.
Collaborate with cross-functional departments (e.g., production, procurement, logistics) to streamline processes and achieve operational excellence.
2. Process Compliance and Improvement: Ensure all warehouse procedures and processes are up-to-date, documented, and executed in compliance with company policies and government regulations.
Implement and monitor changes in regulations or company policies, ensuring seamless adoption and execution.
3. Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate inventory levels through regular cycle counts, physical audits, and reconciliation processes.
Ensure inventory accuracy and minimize discrepancies through effective tracking, reporting, and control systems.
4. Warehouse Security and Maintenance:
Establish and enforce robust security protocols to safeguard warehouse operations, assets, and inventory.
Maintain the physical condition of the warehouse, ensuring a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
Plan and implement layout redesigns to optimize space utilization and operational efficiency as needed.
5. Equipment Management:
Regularly inspect and maintain warehouse equipment to ensure operational readiness.
Issue work orders for repairs and requisitions for replacements to minimize downtime and disruptions.
6. Financial Management:
Prepare and manage the annual warehouse budget, including forecasting, expenditure scheduling, and variance analysis.
Initiate corrective actions to achieve financial objectives and control costs effectively.
7. Team Leadership and Development:
Provide coaching, mentoring, and disciplinary actions to warehouse staff to foster a high-performance culture.
Plan, monitor, and appraise employee performance, setting clear goals and providing constructive feedback.
8. Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency improvements within the warehouse.
Drive initiatives to enhance productivity, accuracy, and overall operational performance.
Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in a warehouse management role, preferably within the garment, manufacturing, or related industries.
Language Skills:
Strong proficiency in English, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Technical Skills:
Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO standards) and their application in warehouse operations.
Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control tools.
Soft Skills:
Excellent problem-solving abilities with a logical and analytical mindset.
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to inspire, motivate, and manage teams effectively.
Ability to collaborate and build relationships with staff at all levels of the organization.
Personal Attributes:
Positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and a strong commitment to achieving organizational goals.
Demonstrated ability to manage costs effectively while maintaining high operational standards.
